Facilitation

Facilitation in Business is a process where an individual, normally outside the ‘group’ who is acceptable to all of a group’s members intervenes to assist that group in solving problems and making decisions to improve productivity and efficiency but who has no authority to make decisions.

We work to understand the group’s issues or problems and focus on the ‘blocks’ that prevent decisions being made. We create a situation where everyone involved has an opportunity to have an input in a climate of ‘collective responsibility’ so that those responsible for making decisions can move forward, take decisions in the knowledge that the whole group has been involved and participated in the process.

 Some Testimonials

“Your facilitation of our Board on Thursday was a real success – we addressed some difficult issues and got through them without any real dissension. We were all hugely impressed at just how well you had mastered your brief and understood the issues we sought to tackle. You very skilfully steered us through our complete agenda showing great patience, charm and tact and yet forcing us to address things. It was a real tour de force and, very much thanks to the positive way you so successfully managed to engage us, that evening and indeed during our meeting on Friday there was a real buzz and much unanimity amongst the Board.
I confess that when a couple of us pushed for this day at Board level there was much disquiet and, following my email with the agenda, I received a number of emails saying people were not at all clear what this was all about. I therefore felt some trepidation at the start of the day but your approach and style very quickly reassured and encouraged us all.”
